Most travelers have experienced that early morning drive when it is still dark, and then the sky starts to lighten as the sun draws near the horizon. As the sun just starts to rise above the horizon, it illuminates higher points and casts long shadows. And, if there is a ridge of cloud cover, there is that moment when the angle is absolutely perfect, and the sun shines between heaven and earth for only a few moments. It can occur at sunset too. It is a magnificent,and brilliant moment of light.–DBrent
