Sunshine, on my shoulders, makes me happy!
Sunshine on my shoulders while riding the motorcycle makes me even happier.
I’ve not ridden the V-Strom on some of my favorite, nearby roads. So, it was time to check out the bike’s back road capabilities along the Little Miami River. Near Fort Ancient, where SR 350 crosses the river, there is an old barn and home that I have admired many times, thinking I should stop and photograph that. Today, I did.
The weathered siding of the barn has such a rich texture. It’s interesting that it is the neglect that gives it its beauty.–DBrent

When i see old structures like that i can’t help but to think of how many generations of people it’s seen, supported and watched pass away. How interesting and challenging life was fifty or a hundred years ago. Nice bike! -Crusty
Crusty, I am the same way. I think about the history of the place and how many people, how many lives, encountered a place or lived there.
Old barns are special.–DBrent
I agree with Crusty. To some, old means disposable. To me, I see history and my imagination takes off.

When I look in the mirror I hope I am not seeing disposable….
I too am always photographically attracted to old and decaying buildings, structures and places. The yellow V-Strom really stands out in the pictures!

Really love the photo–the bike is going to really *make* your pictures! It’s striking.
